Arun Ganesh gets robbed...

Here is a advertisement. Looks pretty ain't it? I know. Sad stuff is that its stolen from wikipedia. Image clicked by Arun Ganesh, a photography hobbyist and a wikipedia contributor who writes under the pen name of PlaneMad. This is not the first time he is being robbed though, its happened before a huge newspaper publication about a year back.

Read his Blog post for more details. This time its by a print ad company called Mudra and its for a lakh's of worth campaign ad.

Hi,
What about the group you were planning Dilip? Count me in. Could we get together and work out some strategy along with any others who might be interested??

Thank you for running a helpful blog on intellectual property rights. It seems the media/newspapers in India luxuriously indulge itself in plagiarism as they think there is no body to stop them from doing so. They are deviating from the principles of providing a genuine source and cheating both the subscribers and the original authors.

A few weeks before one of my photographs were lifted from my website and published on a malayalam newspaper, malayala manorama. I have put the details here: http://www.rock-sea.net/malayala-manorama-copyright-violation
